Guided STUDIO

Ceramic Guided Studio
Fee: $45 per session
Includes: Wheel throwing OR hand building only, studio glaze and firing
Time: Thursdays, 5:30 – 8:00 pm (first, second, & third Thursdays of the month)

Make your clay ideas come to life! This class is less structured; you decide what you would like to make. You can experience the wheel or hand-build a creation on the table. Newbies and experienced potters are welcome but the focus is for new people to try it out. Multi-week class is available for those who wish to continue with clay and learn clay skills. Arrive later, leave earlier, or enjoy the entire session, but you must attend the session for which you registered. You also MUST arrive by 7:30pm. The facility entrance doors will be locked after 7:30pm. Online registration Required.

Sample Class Format

This is an open studio. You decide what you want to make, if you want to try the wheel or handbuild, etc.

The instructor will go around the studio helping everyone along. You can be introduced to the wheel or handbuilding skills.

When you finish you must let the instructor know and make sure your work has your name on it.

You will recieve a message via email from Anderson Arts via Sawyer when your work is ready to glaze and/or pick up. Look out for emails.


Ceramic Guided Studio - Glaze Day
Fee: $25 per session
Includes: Glazes and instruction
Time: Thursdays, 5:30 – 8:00 pm (fourth Thursdays of the month)

This studio focusses on unique and creative glazing (painting) of ONLY ceramic work that you have already made in this studio in Guided Studio sessions THIS SEMESTER.This is glaze only, no clay work.Arrive later, leave earlier, or enjoy the entire session, but you must attend the session for which you registered. You also MUST arrive by 7:30pm. The facility entrance doors will be locked after 7:30pm.
