What does Colorìto mean? Rooted in the Italian tradition of the Venetian Renaissance, colorìto refers to the expressive use of color. How color, light, and atmosphere can create emotion, depth, and movement within a work of art. Venetian artists became renowned for their rich, luminous colors and their ability to use color as an essential part of storytelling and expression.
